Imperial College London is joining this year’s London Tech Week — the UK’s flagship celebration of innovation, technology and global collaboration – to connect with the global tech community, unlock opportunities for growth and shape the future of business.

Taking place in the heart of WestTech London, London Tech Week (LTW) brings together 30,000 of the brightest minds, visionary thinkers and industry leaders to explore the investment, innovation and talent that is shaping the next era of tech. Imperial will be at the centre of the week’s activities, exhibiting throughout at the Olympia London expo and contributing world-class expert speakers to key panel sessions.

This year’s LTW programme embraces the entire landscape of emerging and transformative technologies, with core themes including AI, deep tech, quantum, startups, enterprise resilience, UK and European tech leadership, and the human impact and national security dimensions of technology.  Discover more about Imperial’s presence at one of the most influential gatherings of enterprise leaders, startup innovators, investors and technologists anywhere in the world.

1. Innovation Arc Day – Tuesday 9 June

12:30–13:15 | Roundtable: Turning UK Discovery Into Global Advantage

Alyssa Gilbert, Director of Innovation at the Grantham Institute for Climate Change and the Environment and Co‑Director of the School of Convergence Science, will join a cross‑disciplinary panel exploring how the UK can translate scientific excellence into global competitive advantage.

Dr Nigel Steward, Director and Professor of Practice at the Centre for Sectoral Economic Performance (CSEP) at Imperial, will moderate a discussion on reshaping the mineral value chain for resilience and sustainability.

3. Deep Tech Stage – Wednesday 10 June

JOIN THE CONFERENCE: BIOSECURITY AT THE FRONTIER

Imperial will be hosting a high-level biosecurity conference at Scale Space in White City Campus on Wednesday 10th June 2026 (9:15am – 5:15pm)

Biosecurity at the frontier will bring together global leaders to explore emerging biological threats and the actions needed to address them. Moving beyond analysis, the conference will focus on building the frameworks, partnerships, and capabilities required to strengthen biosecurity globally.

Participation is aimed at senior figures across government, international organisations, research institutions and industry working in defence, security, biotechnology, AI, diagnostics and therapeutics.

OUR COMMUNITY AT LTW

WestTech London’s Solena Materials has been selected by the Department for Business and Trade to exhibit at London Tech Week on Monday 8th June, alongside world-class tech leaders, innovators, and investors. The team will be at their stand to talk deep tech technology and explore partnerships ahead of their anticipated Series A investment round later this year.

Solena Materials began its journey in White City Innovation District’s I-HUB and is now based in WestTech London’s Old Oak Innovation Cluster at Grapht Works – London’s first dedicated facility for pilot and demonstration advanced manufacturing.
